don’t understand the LCD love, too repetitious for me…also sleigh bells is annoying after a while

i can see people not liking her voice, sometimes it grates me even (as a huge fan of hers), but i think it’s harder to critique her smart song arrangements and beautiful musical compositions, not to mention the wonderful imagery in her lyrics

for the life of me, i don’t understand why i can’t get into owen pallett…i respect his music like crazy, but i just can’t enjoy it

i also loved avey tare’s record…put it at number 5 for the year i think

i feel the same way. i reluctantly bought body talk against my better judgment…just sounds like angsty girl pop to me. maybe i need to give it a few more spins.

many thanks – i probably listened to teen dream the most this year, but i also think it’s the best. didn’t try the black keys album, but i have “rubber factory” and wasn’t all too excited about it.

big boi is just a tremendous rapper, it made me actually go check out some older hip hop like the tribe and outkast…i was surprised by how much i liked kanye’s record since i have always dismissed him…but i enjoyed the musical compositions on twisted fantasy.

i agree completely, i thought xx was incredibly bland and over-hyped the first couple times…but it’s a surprisingly rewarding disc the more spins you give it, the melodies start to present and get under your skin.

i’m confirming both your points

i guess it goes without saying, but your post is hard to read

for me at least, dexter is a show with a great concept but weak writing and even worse actors (excepting michael hall)…also, sometimes i feel like it’s always sunny tries way too hard and is more obnoxious than funny

but i love me some mad men and wish breaking bad were on this list

couldn’t agree more. her character was a shell.
