Interesting. I liked the album but didn’t love it (sort of disappointed at first). Now, I’m re-listening to it a month later, and I really love it. Yea(sayer) for a grower!
I really like this! It is fairly low impact, nice, heady, background dance music. It’s great to listen to while grading my high school students’ papers!
And yes, Stick to My Side is a jam; I use it as my alarm clock (that, and ’81 by J News).

It’s definitely less fun and more pretty than the s/t album, but i’m surprised at how quickly/how much it is growing on me. Initially, I was pretty disappointed, but now it’s quite nice. Relieved. But, I’m still wayyyyy more excited for spoon!

Here’s what I know about the Drums: Super hot band members who used to be in Elkland. I, for one, loved Elkland! Also, these songs are super fun. I would love if they got popular on the radio; wouldn’t that be better than everything else right now? Also, they’re hot; did I mention that?

That album blows hard. It’s the same slow song repeated 12 different times. Not terrible, but a 6.5/10
AMEN. While I realize how useless it is to get angry at a hipster list of the year, I am actually PISSED that Dragonslayer got the shaft. Seriously, one of the best bands right now, and they get pissed on. Same happened to Random Spirit Lover. Total BS.
Also, I agree that Vecakatimist is BORING, but MPP was my fave of the year. However, if we’re discussing boring albums, let’s talk about The XX. OH MY, that is such bland, soulless music. Where is the passion and the power? Anyway…I want Spoon to leak.
