I agree that Wavves is overrated, but as this guy even heard TVOTR? It’s another case where some guy has no fucking clue what he’s talking about so he starts making up facts and the person interviewing just goes along with it because he knows even less. Wavves sounds nothing like TVOTR. Seriously, where does that comparison even come from? I understand how someone could compare Wavves and No Age, but No Age are actually talented songwriters. Wavves just has very generic, very rudimentary chord progressions and shitty lyrics that are all like “I’m so awesome cause I smoke weed and skateboard and hang out on the beach” and he puts it through a lo-fi filter so everyone eats that shit up. Post Acid is a good song, though.
