Not the same. Le Tigre knows as much about cranking hyphy beats as martin scorsese does about making movies that suck dick…..sooooooo zero….at the very least Sleigh bells genre-blends WAY cooler, don’t put em in a box cuz they got a weiner and a vagina…..that aint chillllll

Damn, seems like the vast majority of Stereogum had a huddle and decided to get high as ballz on their haterade before posting on this skizz. Is there really that much to dislike about these fools? Its basically a series of euphoria inducing slappers, who listens to this and then promptly decides to go on a blog and complain….? its just retarded. No, its not about to be listenable in 2 years or whatever, but thats honestly not the point. Thats like watching Kill Bill and bitchin about how its incredible (yeee, I’m using that literally, like, not believable) and its purpose as a revenge vehicle is vitiated. Its not really cool to compare this to LCD though, the only thing they gots in common is a release date mang. quit being lugubrious bewbz and live a little.

Upon first listen, Terrible Love, and Lemonworld were def my fave tracks on this bad boy. Lemonworld is so epically raw, in a hella literal sense. Its got those awesome imagery ridden lines that MB is hardcore juiced on. But its also got their classic, like, straight heartbreaking story thats not entirely understandable, theres so much un-divulged that you really just have to imagine. Like secret meeting for me has always been about a son visiting his dad whose totes losing his mind. That could be very very different to tons of other people and I think thats what makes him such a rad lyricist.

Terrible Love I just don’t even have to talk about, its like the Illiad in musical format, in that its so poetically but economically built.

anyway yee, this album, the new Future Islands album are the only things on rotation in my office right now. Their sort of a gorgeous amalgam of semi-throwback sounds.

Mosta the junk he says in this song realllly isn’t ammusing. “I still owe money to the money to the money I owe” is such a flippin solid line! he totes gets to the heart feeling of being debt ridden in super truncated hand. this song just isn’t all the hilarious at all, the vid is though, bad decision making.

wolf parade preexists handsome furs bruh…Krug and Boeckner have perpetually led this band dude

This album is an amalgam of awesome things, they’ve been consistently blowing my mind. And their name is based on such an inconvenient truth.
