These modern day emcees are sooooo original.
Some great raps, some absolutely terrible backing tracks. Not one song worthy of being on a “Best of Eminem” playlist.
I hope it grows on me, I wasn’t too impressed with it on my first run through.
Yes! So good to have them back.
Great track, great video, pretty great album.
He has that ability, doesn’t he? He does things other producers would be scared to do … and completely pulls it off. Every. Single. Time.
I’ve had it on repeat since Friday. Can’t stop listening to it.
Personally I love NIN, seen them live twice, own all the albums, blah blah blah. The way Kanye used that MM sample just slays me! As a matter of fact, the whole album is like a mixtape of my own personal tastes. Well done, Kanye.
Just one more thing, anyone claimin’ Kanye is stealing/borrowing/reappropriating other artists work… that’s what Hip-Hop has always done, and he’s hardly done it in a will.i.am/P. Diddy type way, so jus’ chill!
Yeezus is all I’ve listened to since I downloaded it on Friday, and I can honestly say that for me it’s a 5 star album – my favourite tracks change every time I listen to it, right now they’d be Black Skinhead, Blood on the leaves, Handle my liquor, and Bound 2. For anyone who hasn’t yet checked it out on your headphones, I recommend doing so, Black Skinhead becomes a whole new beast! Hello awesome, it’s lovely to meet ya!
So, when we getting Yeezus II?
Black Skinhead is sooooo good!
I love the Governor’s Ball performance of I am a God, album version misses that energy, but I know I’ll still play it to death.
I didn’t realise Rubin ever produced Limp Bizkit, and I’m a pretty big Rubin fan. Gonna have to look that up now, ugh!
Based on the songs we’ve heard, the people involved, and the “what would Rick Rubin do” thought progress, I’m expecting at least a 9 out of 10.
Can’t wait for the album, My Bower & Wilkins P5s are ready to spend some serious time with this!
Bring forth Yeezus, my iPod is ready and waiting.
