agree rolling stone list way better than this fucking shit or any other music list however i ,m not fully agree with them some artists like pink floyd 51# , Radiohead 73# should be higher but overall list is great at least they have an artists who really deserve to be a greatest artist ever. I think VH1 sHOULD lick the Rolling stone soles

What is that? 21st century Break down and The Blueprint 3 are a Great albums and Empire state of Mind is a great song. They really deserve to be a best of 2009. Yes i can agree with you that Outlaw Pete , Moment on surrender are not a best songs at any sense and No line of Horizon shouldn’t be a album of the year . It shows the over obsession of this magazine toward the old artists.
Michel Jackson is a great Artist but placing him 2# is very over rated the Artist like Beatles, Bob Dylan and Led Zeppelin deserve more respect than him because they were the one who composed a music which will be remember forever and anyone is not agree with me doesn’t know a shit about music

i am not understanding one thing why any one is not taking it positively however some of the songs like Free bird – Lynyrd Skynyrd , Sweet child oh mine- Guns N roses should deserve better rank and some of the songs are missing but all over list is assume and unique look at their top 10 guitar songs ( Jonny B Goode, Purple heze, crossroad…….) they are really a one of the most unforgettable guitar riffs many under rated guitar riffs like 1969- Stooges, Keep Yourself Alive- Queen, Can,t you hear me Knocking- The Rolling stone really deserve to be in top 50 guitar tracks ever which any of other magazine could not even think about that look at the Q magazine 100 guitar soloes or Guitar world 100 guitar solos they have a big name but not even a 10% around Rolling stone 100 guitar solos

Many artist in this list are overrated . I am surprised to see that Michael Jackson is behind only Beatles
but the truth is that there are many artist like Bob Dylan, Jimi Hendrix, Chuck berry , Elves Presley who have Better influence and contribution than Michael Jackson . I am not criticising Michael Jackson but these artists deserve more respect than Michael Jackson. The Presence of many artist like Queen, AC/DC, Paul McCartney , Tina turner in top 50 does,t make any sense . I would also criticise them for putting Pink Floyd and Queen better then legendary artists like Velvet underground and Bruce Springsteen After watching the list i think that either the list have been prepared with out considering about the views of expert or the peoples who voted do not have a brief knowledge about rock and roll and pop music
