Everything they do is great and underrated. Faves include “Hold on to Your Genre” “Patty Lee” & “Year Before the Year 2000″. Anything off Inches.
Crystal should not be on a list of NO’s top ten, even though its a decent song for late era New Order. Age of Consent, Dreams Never End & Regret are good inclusions, but True Faith has always bored me a bit. I’d include album tracks like Face Up, All Day Long and Your Silent Face and at least one from Technique.
Need more than one from Sea Change. The big Beck fans I know all revere that album, as do I. A great non-album cut I’d include would be Deadweight.
I’ve been a Clash fanatic since 7th grade in ’81. Even as a 12 year old (White Man) in Hammersmith Palais struck a chord and has remained my favorite Clash song ever since.. Great list; it would have been a travesty if some of those weren’t on there (Straight to Hell, Train in Vain, Complete Control, Clampdown) but my personal top 10 would probably include Guns of Brixton, Police on my Back, Rudy Can’t Fail, Radio Clash and I love the their versions of Police and Thieves and Pressure Drop.
I think they’ve been watching too much Metalocalypse.
Abbey Road!
Ana has always been my favorite and it never gets any press.
My thoughts exactly.
Finally some new Tamaryn!
Damn I guess I’ll have to hold on to my Mary’s Danish CDs (I have them all!).
I’ve been a Beastie fanatic since 1986. Music rules my life and the death of MCA hurts bad. Haven’t felt this way about a musician passing since Joe Strummer. RIP MCA.
