No way, that was totally Better Than Ezra you dumbasses.
You guys are idiots, CLEARLY it was young Amanda 'murderin' Knox. She was like The Oman as a kid i heard.
(that song seriously just sounded like some old leftover Sheryl Crow song, covered by a college girl in some tiny local bar. STILL better than HAIM though...i'll give her that much:p)
IF she's only 15 i give her a B...any older it's a D.
(and i actually woulda put Love is Noise at 10 as well)
OK i'm glad you put History at the top BUT...way too many old songs, a Top 10 Verve list should have at least 5 Urban Hymn songs, if not 6. Space 'n Time...Velvet Morning...Sonnet...Weeping Willow. Not sure what the sun the sea is doing on that list, or northern soul.
YUM. prolly will sound even better live with new bass girl doing more backup vox. i love their new songs, old pixies/new pixies, it's all good.
'new Pixies is awful' ??...you're fucking on crack, new shit is shockingly great. i'll take indie cindy and bagboy over carabou for the 8 billionth time ANY day.
i like the music fine, it's just the audio level of his mic is way way too low. fuzzy pedal or not.
fuck...i decided to wait a day to hear/watch this...and the old youtube/music site clip bullshit bites me in the ass, would be NICE if a certain website could at least swap an audio version for the video??
So excited for this...not only for listening for myself but i'm really hoping this catches on so we can finally get money back into the music business. As right now the whole situation has devolved into a sad joke and there's just no money anywhere except for the top pop stars and the huge touring bands. THIS could total change the game and finally put a real value on music again.
very cool, but very not-good audio:( oh well, cawnt have everything ya want now can we?
what a let down, thought he was really gonna throw him off like WWE style...though to be fare to mr superfan, it was a pretty boring song and he did liven it up haha, with the ranty 3 min speech he provoked at least.
idk broski...Mozzer will get angry, stop the song and then call you 'stupid' so...
no such a thing as selling out in the 2010s, unLESS you're an arena rock back or one of the top 15 in album sales.
This album is huge, the title of it alone...i mean it's the definition of punk rock to just attack shit directly right? so i love the title, but yeah it's the energy, it's huge. the first 2/3 songs are probably the best starting songs on a rock album i've heard in years. from there it gets a little boring but yeah then picks up at the end, but to me this album really can be boiled down to the chorus 'God bless your transexual heart.' that line alone will probably save dozens of lives, and that's heavy and very cool. btw all the Dave Grohls of the world need to listen to this album and get RE-inspired, quit over-thinking it people, just ROCK!
Pity the redhead isn't the singer...but i did watch 60 secs of it, do i win something?
Sgum must be adopting those sweet Fox News standards, aka doublecheck NOTHING!! [evil laughter]
the audios horrible on that first one at least, sounds like someone put a tape recorder in a closet instead of on the table.
aaaand stole another band a few hrs north's NAME? ...style? guitar/drum bare bones setup and retro guitars? yeah pure coincidence. and you will NEVER be able to say otherwise either for the simple fact the Stripes came out FIRST...no matter what they say as an excuse, you came later and you can never prove originality unless you have some tapes from 10th grade where you're doing the same stuff.
you are clearly on Ohio meth. Danny boy can't even SING...he's nothing, his band is nothing, the ONLY reason they're in the public eye at all is because they're filling a void, a very LOW standard void for a american rock bands because they're so few around these days. that's all. not ONE of their songs will ever be on (classic) rock radio in 10/20 years.
i am SO GLAD this has come out...this whole time I thought Jack was fine with his lil copycat protégés from that loser state to the south doing what they're doing. I love it when ripoff acts make it SO obvious what they're doing...HMM retro bare bones sound, just like a band from up north...DUO drums n guitar, just like that band up north all over MTV etc...instead of THE White stripes, they're THE Black keys...hmmmmmmm, nope can't see ANY similarities there.
yeah cuz Zeppelin sure ripped off No Quarter and Kashmir from Herman's Hermits, they're only 'ripoff' nod to the past, the BLUES, are those first 2 albums, and a handful of rockers from the next few albums, the rest no one can ever even come close to duplicating.
strange, sounds like a leftover track that never worked from before, and sounds like she's saying Mahi Mahi.
LDR clearly is on her way UP, Gaga is on the slow path DOWNward...is all I know, plus...who are we kidding, ONE of these girls is hotter than a mofo, the other is scary as a mofo...and last i checked i am a human being-so theres that.
well the infamous GnR gig at the Ritz WAS pretty much more punk rock than most punk rock so...YES, kinda sorta.
1. Belle and Sebastian 2. boobs 3. boobs 4. boobs 5. boobs 6. boobs 7. boobs 8. boobs 9. rain/merch/food/Solange/Cannonball 10. Belle and Sebastian's on-stage dance party...featuring more boobs
that song's really cool, MAYBE shoulda been kept off the album for continuity sake BUT you can't deny that it's really cool, AND very different from any other song they've ever done. Same with 3 or 4 songs on that album actually, and THATS why you love Radiohead, they go all over the place and do it well and aren't afraid to dabble around in this style n that style.
THAT part kinda actually bugs me haha...but you're right it is better live. what blew me away the first time i heard it ON that tour in 2003 was the amount of BASS. haven't noticed it quite as big and badass since that tour but at least the first time they really had the volume cranked up on it and it just filled the whole outdoors area around the stage for miles probably, it was awesome:)
EXTREMELY under-rated album...the songs are amazing, the reason is wasn't beloved as much as previous albums was the quicky recording process which left the album without that super HQ Radiohead shine we're all used to...which maybe in the future they can re-mix it and add a few more bells and whistles. BUT song by song, ALL these songs sounded great live, it's like they were made to be played live, find some bootlegs from this tour to find out yourself, they NEVER sounded any better than on the Hail tour. We Suck Young Blood live...amazing, Where I end and you Begin? amazing. Sit Down Stand up, amazing. Go to Sleep, amazing. There There...one of the best songs live EVER. Scatterbrain... gorgeous...The Gloaming< PERFECT LIVE, 2+2=5? perfect. Myxomatosis=great, Backdrifting=great. The other songs are cool too, a couple you could argue shoulda been b sides and more is less a lot of times with albums BUT oh well.
this dumb idiot hahaha, she just sealed her fate as being known as one f'd up kook-koo brains forever. god i couldn't even get past the first THIRD of that crap, horrible hahaha. FUNNY though, thanks for the cheap laugh mandy.
They sounded effing great on SNL, tres impressive.
haven't read this yet...just glad the YYY's are BACK...everytime they come back, or The Strokes, or Beck... Jack White/Stripes whatever, it's a victory for american music. to show everyone out there how it's suppose to be done, the real way, the right way. wayyy too many horrible hollow worthless bands flooding the scene the past 5 yrs or so, bands that have no business doing anything more than playing local college gigs and selling music out of their trunks.
ha...it's hilarious seeing all the fanatics with the creaming-their-drawers comments haha..."OMG best song EVER!!!" it's like 'yeahhhh? it's sorta catchy...and that big band sound is...kinda cool...ish....i guess??' haha, robots r funny.
haha i can't get over that wannabe 1969 band pic...
This was back when hip Brad Pitt n Jen Aniston would go to all the Radiohead shows, Brad's got great taste, he's a HUGE Jeff Buckley fan too. Funny they had both the (mtv) House of Style megahot supermodels on there Shalome Harlow and Amber Valetta, growwwwlz.
haha that pic is priceless...'yo yo yo what UP DL!?'
