no Wild? that’s pretty wild.
did Bagboy miss the cut for this week? if so, it should definitely appear on next week’s listing.
let’s just all admit that it should have been Blood on the Leaves
hey SG, if you’re leaving out Juicy and Hypnotize, you might’ve as well made Big Poppa number 1. but noooOOOooo, you had to be all Stereogummy and pick a non-single from the second best album out of two studio albums.
Big Poppa should’ve been number 1. hell, it’s top 5 material in my theoretical all-time greatest rap songs. the Sonic Youth album list was quite a mess (but one that I can live with), but with this? some n**** gon’ git got.
now, where my gat?
Sunufa-bish, there should be an Artist of the Year category! I’d give that to Kendrick Lamar for the sheer quality AND quantity of his output.
But my AOTY goes to Grimes’ Visions, with Circumambient as SOTY from that same album.
Strangely enough, Claire Boucher didn’t get indie crush. I serve only for Alexis Krauss.
YES! another rap track, another Beach House sample!

uhm, Beastie Boys? Paul’s Boutique was out in ’89, and don’t get me started on Licensed to Ill.
