Thuggin will be best known for rebranding the AK47 from a hardcore weapon of choice into a clown prop via the giant banana clip.

I too am stoked for Prometheus! I would trade not being able to listen to any music until June if I could watch that movie now instead.

Saw them in Portland at the Arlene Schnitzer concert hall. Best show I have ever seen! Speachless and in tears at points!

I am not the biggest Rollins fan. I also disagree with the way he handled that situation but 100% agree with the message he is trying to get across. The difference between the Iranian women and the younger girls is night and day and Rollins is just pointing out how apathetic, lazy, and hipsterized most of the popular music scene has become. That is all.

and let the disconnect begin. I have increasingly felt isolated from the recent music world and this seals the deal. I loved NERD’s first album. I’ll be as straight forward with my thoughts as possible here. I feel like the majority of music that is getting recognition for the last 5 years has had little to no content as far as a political, social or spiritual message. I feel that how you look (80′s) is more important than how you sound for most bands these days. I feel nothing when I listen to most of the music talked about on this site and pitchfork. I am bored by it. Maybe it was turning 30, maybe I can’t let go of 1991-1996. Maybe this is where we all eventually end up as a new generation takes over the music scene. But I can’t help but lament the loss of new music that makes me feel in my heart and soul. Something that makes me stir and surge forward in life. So few now. Thanks for reading this mildly intoxicated fools thoughts at 1 AM.
