I think the band (especially Roland the drum machine) was especially locked in for Songs About Fucking. Atomizer meanders in parts whereas Songs About Fucking is more succinct and brutal.
However, it's kind of a coin toss between "which album is more influential" (Atomizer) and "which album do I like more" (SAF).
Whoops, it was #1, as it should be. Surfer Rosa is slightly uneven when compared to In Utero. Everyone has personal favorites from Surfer Rosa, so I'm sure to offend some here, but Gigantic isn't that great and Tony's Theme is "meh" in my opinion. Now I'm going to hide in a corner.
No on Rapeman being better than any Shellac album. Have you heard At Action Park? "Crow" is Steve Albini's best song behind "Kerosene," and "Jordan, Minnesota."
Even though Rapeman had personnel that later joined the Jesus Lizard, who I like better than Shellac, "At Action Park" features the best rhythm section around, equally hypnotizing and brutal. Hell, 1000 Hurts is better than Two Nuns, just listen to "Watch Song."

Why won't they just stop the collaborations and write another album as good as Embryonic? All the prior collabs were extremely weak (especially the one with Lightning Bolt, unless your objective is to get a headache). If the collaborators play a backseat role like Karen O and MGMT on Embryonic, then maybe this will work (and Ke$ha's the only terrible collaborator).
And I'm going to pre-emptively retract my comments if this album comes out sounding great, but the tiny clips I've heard don't give a good gauge of what's to come.

But the problem is how broadly SOPA and PIPA are written. I kind of agree that Megaupload is a site targeted by SOPA and PIPA, but the sweeping language of SOPA and PIPA go beyond sites like Megaupload.
So, sites like Wiki, Youtube, Facebook, and Google think SOPA and PIPA would constitute cause a chilling effect on speech in violation of the First Amendment because SOPA and PIPA are horribly drafted and those sites would be less likely to connect to any copyrighted material out of fear of prosecution under SOPA/PIPA.
With a Republican Congress and Republican Supreme Court, SOPA and PIPA are genuinely fucking scary. IF they pass, they're inevitably be challenged as violating the First Amendment, but since the current Supremes believe Corporation's can speak (Citizens United), I worry that SOPA and PIPA would remain good law.
Bottom Line: the effects of SOPA and PIPA don't just reach music/movie "pirates." Hell, Stereogum would be screwed for linking to any album streams or hosting any music videos (even with permission from the artists).
