If his assets end up getting seized they sure can.
And Smashing Pumpkins made the theme song to that forgotten Batman film: Batman & Robin (Feat. "The End is the Beginning is the End") grossed $238 million worldwide. Pulp Fiction grossed $213 million worldwide.
Yeah, if memory serves it goes back to the feeling that there were some unnecessary tracks on Mellon Collie whereas Siamese Dream was pure perfection. Also, people were already starting to tire of Billy's shtick a little bit.
Same, although I did enjoy them the time I saw them.
Oceania and Monuments to an Elegy are actually pretty good. Not good enough usually to make me pass up Gish/Siamese/Mellon Collie/Pisces when I'm going to listen to some Pumpkins, but pretty good.
I still occasionally wear my shirt from this tour that lists all the dates on the back, and it will never stop boggling my mind how long they were able to sell out arenas thanks to Mellon Collie.
Where did I say the song was a rip off or that Gonzalez was right? I couldn't care less about whether Hozier ripped off Feist or Chilly Gonzalez is a terrible musicologist. But suing someone because they said something in a YouTube video *IS* overly defensive and the ridiculous numbers of lawsuits recently between musicians *IS* ridiculous. It's the internet, people say stupid crap everyday. Ignore it and move on with your life.
An artist accused another artist of plagiarism and music blogs wrote about that. By your definition EVERYTHING on the internet is clickbait. As for whether Hozier himself or his management filed the suit, that's irrelevant. Management is his agent, thus is him.
"Hozier Is Suing Chilly Gonzales For Saying He Ripped Off Feist" If you honestly think that headline is sensational I can see why you're such a Hozier fan. That's as straightforward and bland as a headline can be.
An article about one musician suing another musician on a website dedicated to music news is clickbait? Quick someone tell cnn.com they aren't allowed to write about missing airplanes anymore. And tell espn.com the NFL is off limits. And while we're at it, better tell Buzzfeed they shouldn't compile random tweets and/or gifs anymore...wait, that one's actually true.
It allows them to create an echo chamber which will likely only increase the level of bile as they each try to one up each other. Then one of them with an extra screw loose does something in real life because they think it's acceptable.
See dansolo below. I'd only add that even if addressing it doesn't change the speaker, hopefully other impressionable folks starting down a similar road will be course corrected.
Ignoring it certainly doesn't work, so letting them know their comments/views aren't acceptable in society is required.
Lauren Mayberry is awesome. I will always find her adorable, however, because when I saw them play a set in a record store she prefaced "The Mother We Share" by noting the presence of "little Chvrches fans" and letting them know there was a bad word in the song but she'd give them a cue as to when to cover there ears. Then she did and it was adorable whether she was female, male, an alien, a catfish, a vulture, or anything else.
Hearing stories from friends who were playing/just finished playing in the Entry when it happened. Sounds nuts, but also sounds like the staff were amazing. Supposed to see Miguel on Saturday. I don't think that's going to happen.
They simply assumed you were wearing your prior copies out. \m/ \m/
Oh good, the estate of my childhood dog no longer has to worry about collection efforts being taken against it.
No password needed now. No audio yet, though.
Very happy my Titus pre order came in yesterday. Now I can listen exclusively to it until Friday when I will switch to listening exclusively to Migos. Gonna be a good week.
Thanks all (including iceberg down below). Sounds like I definitely don't want to read these.
Can you summarize? If they're that bad I don't want to let them enter my eye holes. Oh, and out here in the hinterlands Shea isn't an option, but I've got my ticket for when they blaze through town in October.
I don't know...the dog looks adorable.
Well, I can't argue with that. The silent intermission just about brought me to tears, though. In a good way.
Much obliged. Patrick is usually pretty understandable, but the visual with the audio is very helpful.
And here I thought I might get some work done this afternoon.
Is this song about her leaving Crystal Castles? I don't know anything about Alice Glass' personal life, but so much in that statement makes me think it has to be. 1) "Years ago I began the process of trying to remove myself from an abusive relationship that started when I was a teenager." Band started when she was a teen. 2) "Over the course of that relationship I was systematically cut off from anyone and everyone that I could truly be close to." Surely she wasn't cut off from Ethan Kath. 3) She never says whether the relationship was romantic or other. In fact, she's careful to only refer to "relationships" in a general sense. 4) Her specificity that this was an artistic person and someone who could criticize her daily. In any event, the song is fantastic, but I get the feeling this won't be the last we hear on the subject of the song.
Sadly it's also what Neil Young lives for these days.
I'm trying to picture the uproar if this happened at a hip hop show. Now I've myself sad.
Well this one's easy. Professor Plum and Miss Scarlett have alibis, so obviously it was DJ Mustard in the studio with a revolver.
Same. Apocalypse, girl is just the right amount of unsettling.
I would like to join this Kickstarter, please.
