You have failed to mention the single most aggravating thing about this and every other Arcade Fire album, that being that Régine Chassagne needs voice lessons. Badly. She’s good enough for backup singing, but they should never, ever let her sing solo. Ugh. Otherwise, I love them. Pop music lyrics aren’t meant to be deep. It’s pop music!
