I think everyone's expectations are too high. A bad artist gave a bad performance, this happens often.
Keep doing your thang man. Although this album sounds like it'll be less minimalist and involve a lot more....sound, not sure how much I agree with that. Sounds good still, just not as good.
Stuck in Florda. Urgh, to see Jeff Mangum live.....this is the year to go.
My favorite track from the album.
New Perfume Genius! yes!
No Neutral Milk Hotel or Modest Mouse? I'm slightly offended. Oh wait, they're English.
I really appreciate this. Doing what folk singers have been doing since the depression. Thank you Jeff,
Dear Thom Yorke. Please stop.
Modest Mouse - Trailer Trash
Or maybe something by Starfucker.
Beat Radio - The Great Big Sea
How dare you bring indie jesus down to a human level!
15 year old me is smiling inside.
Not sure I approve, but I like the ending, and love these people.
I'd go as far as to say it's better than Hazards of Love already. Delighted.
Song is good, not great. I could care less if it's folk or not (it isn't), all I know is Bright Eyes has a history of making amazing music and I am incredibly excited to see them on this tour.
Best comment ever. Sincerely made my day.
Actually like the song, undecided on the video.
I would love to see the Strokes, and Arcade Fire.
First off, I really love Fanfarlo to death, every song I've heard from them so far is great, and in my eyes more hopeful than most the music I indulge in. As for the videos, I liked them both, but certainly liked the 2nd video better. I only wish they took out the very last part, with the guy on the building and the whole group extending a hand to him, I like corny and over the top, but that was a tad much. Still all in all enjoyed this very much.
Sounds a lot like most everything they do, still, something to look forward to.
I love when Pitchfork has to say "(via Stereogum)
The Strokes and Arcade fire. 'Nuff said.
Tonight I'm gonna see of Montreal live, how much you wanna bet they outperform Lady Gaga?
I really do love this band, have all there albums so far and it looks like I'm gonna need to get this one too.
This video, like all things MGMT, should not be taken too seriously. And i have to say i loved the video, enough to make me like the song and give this boring 2nd album another chance. Still, so far this has been one of those bands who's only songs i really like are their singles, hate that.
It isn't aweful....but i don't particularly like it. Sure as hell doesn't compare to their last two albums. Gonna see these guys soon, sure hope they stick to the old stuff.
I think everyone took the Canada song a tad too seriously.
I would be happy just to hear him strum G a few times.
I only ever liked their singles anyway, all well.
