it’s cus this album was written without vocals originally. i fear the whole thing will sound too busy.
i do! you guys should scrap this column it really sucks.
“The Suburbs isn’t a horrible album, …”
best line
did sonic boom mix MPP? this has that same awesome wet sound.
deakin wasn’t present while this band released 90% of their best songs? i wonder what he brings to the table that is currently missing.
yea i liked this song better by REM
wow good fucking call!
so julian didn’t write any of these songs though right? http://www.nme.com/news/the-strokes/50331
saw pavement at pitchfork and they played like they hate their songs but would rather do this than work at a gas station. super sloppy and low energy…tons of mistakes, even by malkmus. you wouldn’t get that from the pitchfork description though.
does anyone like this?
sex on fire is this bands best song
oh wait didn’t see that thermals covered weezer too nevermind lol…
seriously sorry to be a dick but i just like this site and want it to keep being cool. any word on when the new margot and the nuclear so and sos album is dropping? that would be quite blogworthy
no it’s not funny this site is going to shit. this week the main stories were this obnoxious kings of leon song, reviewing the new weezer album, and hole covering pearl jam. is this what we can expect moving forward?
they absolutely progressed with their 3rd album (did anyone actually listen to that album? pioneer to the falls and no i in threesome are some of their best tracks as a band) and got ripped apart for doing so. now the result is this album which is a very calculated “return to form”- a poor concept to glorify in the first place. i wish this band would have stayed major and released another album where they continue to expand their sound instead of trying to make all the haters happy.
ha why are you writing about this? it is beyond irrelevant.
lets just say slow year for new bands great year for new albums
yeah wtf. why would this tumble?
“Go, this band is seemingly incapable of playing a bad show.”
that’s because they don’t play their music live they just sing over pre-recorded parts. pretty hard to fuck up…makes sleigh bells really tight live too.
could not disagree more. no I in threesome is one of the best interpol songs, despite how much everyone hates that album. the same thing happened to this band as did the strokes- suddenly they add some production (first imp of earth) and everyone gets on the hate train.
that being said, this song sounds like a bside from any of their first 3 albums and is pretty disappointing.

can you just post the stream
