PREACH!
that justice album from a few years ago that was recorded with all live instruments is sounding really good right now
kind of crazy that a daft punk song featuring julian casablancas wouldnt sound out of place on the latest strokes album. how the times have changed
i kind of feel like that looking back on this album in the future the build up and promotion of the album might be more important than the album itself, if that makes any sense. The fact that my friends with little knowledge of dance music history are now name dropping niles rodgers and giorgio is a testament to the way that daft punk have used their considerable spotlight to shine on their heros and inspiration when promoting their own massively hyped album. I have found myself digging into older jams thanks to the influences that have been cited in the collaborators videos. even if this album isnt as groundbreaking as many thought it would be, it will still be interesting to see if the dance music zeitgeist takes a turn towards some of the sounds found on this album thanks to the emphasis put on these older influences.

curious about whether there will be a julian casablancas collaborators video. will he be more excited about RAM than comedown machine?
“the missing” has been on repeat since i heard this album. lockett has such a subtle but effective delivery that give all his songs an emotional kick. great album
she started some great wars in far away territories, you gotta respect that!
oh i get it because his sexuality is different from yours. continue with your funny jokes!
do you know who morrissey is? or do you just not understand how google works?
my comment was meant as a compliment, yall. DADS ROCK
i do enjoy the song but I wonder if that’s because it sounds like a song the national have already written 10 times before. i suppose i cant fault them for knowing their wheelhouse but it doesnt seem like any new territory is being covered in these first couple songs. :/
no one makes dad music quite like the national!
the pup was a welcome surprise
sounds like me singing karaoke
