"the missing" has been on repeat since i heard this album. lockett has such a subtle but effective delivery that give all his songs an emotional kick. great album

i do enjoy the song but I wonder if that's because it sounds like a song the national have already written 10 times before. i suppose i cant fault them for knowing their wheelhouse but it doesnt seem like any new territory is being covered in these first couple songs. :/
