Enjoyed the list…but feel there is one omission: How The West Was Won deserves a mention. Gonna date myself badly here, but my father (bless him( took me to see them live in Montreal in 1976. A pivotal kid moment, I can assure you. And as much as I love their first four albums (and Physical Graffiti), it pales to memory I have of that concert. The Song Remains the Same sucked, but this live comp of two shows in California comes close to matching the feeling I had that day…
My two cents worth. These lists usually change over time. I am sure if this list were done in five years time, it would be a different beast.
Also, why does Public Enemy get such little traction on these lists. It Takes a Nation of Millions… should be reissued and rediscovered stat.
Love this list…absolutely love it!
I totally agree that P4k’s starting to lose the plot with their holier than thou hipster-isms. It’ like the inmates have taken over the asylum…Their stance is starting to grate just a little too much for my liking.
Lou Reed The Blue Mask
Have to agree with the folk that say this list is better then Stereogums…More open; more catholic; just bitchin’
Kudos are in order.
Yes. Hot Chip. Kudos indeed!
Must admit that the Interpol and the !!! albums deserved better than the wholesale panning they received.
