Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind was wonderful. All the rest ranged from bad to unwatchable!

My memory of that scene is that they fudge the answer. Like, there's a definitive way to get the the precise volume, but I don't think they do it legitimately.

It's kind of remarkable that it's so close to the original!

Tom Cruise is a pilot! He offered a VERY charming anecdote about piloting on a Letterman appearance a few years ago. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zTkcII91xlo

Hey it looks like the creator of FNL agrees with Gabe! He has asked Romney to disassociate himself from the phrase. He wrote him a letter! http://www.indiewire.com/article/television/peter-berg-challenges-mitt-romneys-use-of-a-friday-night-lights-catchphrase

I am thrilled the O'Reilly segment got around to the concept of economic coercion at the end, and that the guest/comedian understood the concept and made a completely accurate counterargument to the other two badgering harpies. It's not economic coercion when it's private citizens spending their money. The boycott is precisely the same kind of 'speech' that Citizens United dealt with. People have a right to spend their money however they want, and because corporations are citizens THEY have that right. The one aspect of this where the concept of coercion MAY be applicable is where the mayors stated a reluctance to allow Chick-Fil-A to build in their cities… I know that through zoning and blah blah blah town and cities CAN prevent stores from opening up. If they're doing so because of a political belief held by the owner, that actually might be constitutionally problematic… I look forward to following those stories if/as they develop.

That was my favorite moment. I love the rare acknowledgment that it's a tv show. Like from season 1, I think, when they had a Verizon ad in the show that winds up with her looking at the camera and asking for her money...

With regard to the "youngish actor" comment... Do you know how old Mitt Romney is? I've heard him say he's been married to the same woman for 42 years a few times and that number seems impossibly high to me! He looks 42! Mormon living is CLEAN living...

I am also curious about the "Life Aquatic is awful" concept. My friend loves it the most of all his movies, and goes so far as to say something like it's the most Wes Anderson movie of all his movies. Upon repeated viewings, it really grew on me also. I kinda love that movie. There's a lot of stuff in the corners that I didn't quite catch in the first run through, which is uncommon for me, ladies.

I guess my feeling really stems from being into something and being aware of it. There are dating websites dedicated to various kinks and preferences. I figure they exist to help people find happiness and who are we to denigrate one's idea of the perfect match? If the laughter stems from the publicity side of it, I guess that's fair... Public figures and statements are fair game and yeah this is a fairly cheesy attempt to make a promotional video seem like a news item. I thought it felt like this post was a little more about bashing the concept of women into younger men than bashing this particular video. If my reading is unfair, I apologize!

At the risk of making this into a thing, because it's so not a thing at all, but... why is this making people feel uncomfortable? I mean, why use "barf" as a descriptor of an older woman who wants a younger man? The reverse situation has been pretty well accepted forever. I assume it's because you think the women are basically paying for sex? But you really do seem to come down pretty negatively on everyone who just likes the age dynamic. I feel weird even typing this because SO WHAT, WHO CARES! but... this video isn't inherently funny and the post is basically repeating the content of the video.... so I kinda think the tone of this particular post is oddly caustic. Like, women shouldn't WANT to date young guys in the first place, and expressing that interest is wrong in someway.
