I’m not kidding… it took these comments for me to realize that top picture isn’t Tim Meadows doing a bad Adam Duritz impression.
well, I’m an old man…
I really liked Lysandre. This song is actually pretty terrible in my opinion.
“Kanske Ar Jag Kar I Dig” should have been on this list.
Albums I’m enjoying currently:
Foxygen – We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic
Christopher Owens – Lysandre
Vampire Weekend – Modern something something “vampire” is in there somewhere
The National – new The National album which is of course good
Jim James – OK album made twice as good by seeing him perform it live
Kurt Vile – didn’t listen to his last album because I was tricked by his last name being “Vile” and I figured it would be much heavier music than it actually was
The Shouting Matches – Justin Vernon side project that I actually enjoy…
now I’m just rambling.
Will Mumford and Sons have a punching booth during the day? (it’s like a kissing booth but with more punching)… if so, this is an incredible lineup.
Pretty decent list, my top ten:
1. Let’s Not Shit Ourselves
2. A Scale A Mirror and These Indifferent Clocks
3. An Attempt to Tip the Scales
4. A Perfect Sonnet
5. Cartoon Blues
6. At the Bottom of Everything
9. Bowl of Oranges
10. First Day of My Life
bonus (Conor Oberst solo)
1. Cape Canaveral
2. Milk Thistle
I like how the crowd laughed at Two Door Cinema Club… um, that’s a real band.
