Re: Proto-Emo.

I get why this isn’t include but I’d love to see a list of the late 80′s punk proto-emo songs. By the time the 90s emo thing happened, I had worn a bit down on the sound because I spent a lot of my time in high school with songs like these:

Dag Nasty – “Circle” –
7 Seconds – “Somebody Help Me Scream” –
Uniform Choice – “Staring Into The Sun” –

There was a few years, I think it was 87/88, where all the hardcore bands put out their “pop” records and that’s really the prototype for the 90s emo sound, I think.
