My personal purchasing arch happens to follow the overall arch just because of when I happened to get into vinyl, the then spent a ton of money building up my collection. Now, 500 LPs later, my list of albums I want & don't yet have on vinyl is so much shorter that a couple years ago, so I purchase far less these days. Also, 2016 hasn't been all that strong for great albums in my opinion. Anyway, fascinating article.
Battle Born both opens (Flesh & Bone, and Runaways) and closes (title track) super strong, but in between, the guts of it don't rise to the same levels. After their first record, the rest of The Killers' albums certainly have high highs and low lows.
