My point isn’t just that “lol ur fat” – and I very much doubt you really believe that that the attack was meant to be psychological and seed self-doubt, rather than a reference to Allen’s current and/or past weight – is factually inaccurate, it’s that it’s a lazy misogynistic insult that relies on such tired old ground that it’s possible to fall back on without engaging one’s brain for a second. Misogyny and fat bashing isn’t clever, brave and edgy; it’s mundane and boring. And if you think rewording it as “propensity for corpulence” requires any significant level of wit or intelligence, it’s a pretty damning statement about the limits of yr imagination.
