Find Me On:
Did Kanye ghost write the introductory paragraph?
Well…the beat is nice. Maybe iLoveMakonnenn should stick to host writing. If someone else was trapping it might be bearable.
Personally, Panda Bear Meets The Grim Reaper has been my gateway drug into Animal Collective. I had listened to “Girls” and “Brother Sport” and enjoyed their space-like tendencies, but the grooves on PBMTGR are outstanding. I love how Lennox is able to use his somewhat indecipherable lyrics to create rhythmic patterns (i.e. the ay-ay-ay-ay in “Mr. Noah” or the trancelike paces of the “chorus” in “Boys Latin”). Currently, “Come To Your Senses” is my repeat gem “Yeaaaah, I’m Maaaad”.
I’m sorry. I really like this album. I’m set of the next 3 months that is until Yeezy season approaches.
What’s a Black Beatle anyway?
I loved Congratulations. I haven’t finished the stream yet, but MYSTERY DISEASE is already a winner.
This new sound IMO is reminiscent to MIA’s /\/\/\Y/\. It’s very industrial and slightly hard on the ears at first. Goes to prove that Maya seems to be on the cusp of what’s hot, but Kanye is able to bring it to the masses. I want an itunes download of Black Skinhead immediately!
Can’t wait for the Postal Service best albums list!
I agree with some of the above posts. It is too early to start creating legacy posts for Kanye. Plus, it is kind of absurd to make a best of list for Kanye West because we can all agree all of his albums are the best work in the past decade.
#ChannelingKanyeWest Comparing Kanye West’s best albums is to comparing Jesus’ best miracles.
People always hold Andre as being the creative, the poet, etc., but when it comes down to it I prefer Big Boi because he’s here offering us great music, while most are waiting for an Andre track at best. Outkast’s relationship with its fans is very reminiscent of a child’s relationship with his step dad and biological father. We complain how much we want our real father in our life, while our step dad has been there all along taking care of us since our pops (Andre) abandoned us.
Forever Big Boi.
John Mayer is NOT Slash. I don’t care what you say Frank Ocean! Don’t get me wrong John Mayer is an amazing guitarist, but he spends to much time making romantic comedy songs.
