I see the problem here. If you were looking for up-votes, you needed to include the line “I like Kanye’s and Billy’s music, but…”
Don’t forget to feed the gummer egos round here.
My wife and I made a playlist of music for our wedding instead of having a DJ and that one was one of the one of the first ones we knew would be there for sure. It, coincidentally, was playing right when my friend who was studying to be a priest said grace. I love Leonard Cohen, but this version was way better than his…
You, sir, win the internet this evening.
Damn. This makes me feel old. This was sophomore year for me. This album and Dookie were on constant rotation. My best memories of this album are singing it in spanish class all year long because (my teacher was sort of just oblivious) and singing it in the car with my dad. My dumb ass thought it was amusing to put it on and sing this shit in front of my dad. Back to feeling old, I would hope that if my kid tried pulling that I would wipe his player of all his music and tell him to think again before speaking.
I’m gonna add ‘Serial Killa’ to “Who Am I” and Doggy Dog World’ as my favorite tracks here. Unlike some of the rap albums I liked from this era, this album still holds up as awesome. i’m a give this a big ol’ MEH.
Just finished my first listen and it is not what I was expecting based on the listening party comments from SPIN. I was prepared to be disappointed or at least need a few listens to decide what I thought. This fucking awesome though! Really, really like it. Hold My Liquor, I’m In It and Blood on the Leaves are the standouts for me from my first listen.
I like you anon. I’ll give you a shoulder to cry on if you need.
On that note, even Guilt Trip is really good, which is the track that sounds the most like 808′s to me.
Or if Death Grips was any good.
Completely agree! I read a report from the listening parties and assumed that track would be like 808′s and it really is nothing like it. The standout so far actually…
