People are only upset when someone tells them to be upset. No one in the audience was upset when he gave the speech and I'm sure SOME people there knew what was going on. And even if they didn't who cares! It was a SPEECH! It's over now. It served it's purpose and now it's done.
I also think it's unfair how everyone here seems to just "know" this kid is a spoiled lazy brat who cheated on every test he ever took just because of one stupid speech. You all don't really know this boy and frankly I feel really badly for him today. I doubt he thought this would ever happen.
It's also unfair for our society to pick and choose what is and isn't stealing based on public opinion. Group Think here we come.

Artists "stealing" and than making "original art" is NOT a tiered issue. It's called post- modern art and its happing right now. This issue is only going to get slammed into your face a million different ways over and over again just like today with this kid.

Are you telling me no one on this web blog has ever plagiarized before? I think most are annoyed that a bratty elite ivy league student is a thief. Representing how there are many rich elite criminals in this country today. Criminals who act all smart and are really ripping the common man off and lying.
Right now, I believe the way we view stealing, plagiarism, and ivy league schools is all changing. I'm not sure I even believe stealing is wrong? I know I don't think ivy league schools make you smart. And as for plagiarism, it's been stretched to it's limits as far as I'm concerned. What does plagiarism mean in a community where art is influenced by other art and everyone is blogging and re-quoting and re-twittering about things every second of every day ect ect ect.

Kick Ass is my new favorite movie of all time! It was like Kill Bill but with out all the taking itself too seriously, with a little bit of Joss Whedon humor throw in. It was totally obvious that Big Daddy was supposed to be darker in the book. I felt all the characters were total ANARCHY! Off the deep end and crazy! When Kick Ass got stabbed I was shocked! I think that was the most shocking scene in the whole movie.
