Leaving out Testament to Youth in Verse? No, no, no. No, no, no.

This is the second time he has mentioned David Stern in the same breath as Walt Disney, Howard Hughes, and Steve Jobs. That just tickles me.

I would like to petition for the inclusion of Ransom. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OhUjEMy9wQ8

1) It was the first introduction a lot of people had to Drake
2) it has one of the best Lil Wayne verses ever
3) The write-up by Tom is super funny in retrospect (so much snark! so much (warranted) dismissiveness).

Choice quotes:
“The world is a weird place, and when you start worrying about why the guy from “Degrassi” is on Lil Wayne’s label, your brain will hurt and you will have to lie down”

“In a perfect world, we could forget all about Drake’s rap career after this song. ”

Those reasons enough it should be included, even top 10!

I think that’s the fascinating thing about Lil Wayne! Everyone kind of agrees he is super irresponsible, kind of crazy, etc., but he is one of the few major rapper who signed and developed multiple future stars in Drake and Nicki Minaj.

I mean obviously someone like Dr. Dre discovered a bunch of talent over the years, but he seems much more involved in everything, and he’s a producer, so that makes sense. I just don’t know how Wayne does it.

Kanye looks like a Rap Game Louis C.K. with his frown, goatee, and jean shirt. Come to think of it, isn’t he in all ways a Rap Game Louis C.K.?

Shouts to David Stern, Walt Disney, etc.

Tom you missed the best quote, in which Kanye makes a perfectly Kayne-curated list of Visionary People that he is among.

“The most influential artists of the past ten years. You have like, Steve Jobs, Walt Disney, Henry Ford, Howard Hughes, Nicolas Ghesquière, Anna Wintour, David Stern. ”

“I am undoubtedly, you know, Steve of Internet, downtown, fashion, culture.”

The last few is the weirdest bit? lots of disability joking?

His entire verse about the various disabilities of his girl (cleft palate, club foot, little arm) is so depressing and distracting and inexplicable, I can’t even figure what out what he was going for. It sounds like he is making fun of her?

Anyone have any explanation? It makes me not want to listen to any of Action’s music ever again.
