I hope he's been practicing his hacky-sack routine.

Does it mean I'm going to be a bad parent for thinking the dad dressing up to embarrass his kid is really hilarious, and it's something I kind of want to do at least once?

That episode with Patton Oswalt made me laugh so hard I started crying. I loved when they all started talking like him in that sleazy affect.

I have such respect for editors and producers in reality TV. I've never worked on anything professionally, but I worked on a couple of documentaries in school and it is HARD. Could you imagine working on "Jersey Shore" and having to sit through every single screaming match between Ronnie and Sammi? Those guys deserve a medal.

By the way, can we talk about Marc Maron? I haven't been finding his podcasts as enjoyable lately, although the Conan interview he posted today has been interesting. I've also been listening to a lot of back episodes of Comedy Death Ray lately so I've been enjoying listening to something a lot lighter and sillier.

I'm halfway through it so far and it's really good! And it's only the first part of a two-parter!

This is a weird thing to say, but thank you for saying nice things about TV. I work in the industry and I agree, there's some really great programming out there lately - cable is really having a renaissance. By the way, if you are interested in the history of reality TV, there's a great movie premiering on HBO this month called "Cinema Verite" about the first reality show (which is up for debate since some consider "Candid Camera" the first reality show) called "An American Family". It looks awesome.

I liked Franky, Rich, and Grace almost immediately. They're classic "Skins" characters, so well-written. I know Matty is supposed to be this weird, dangerous figure but I like my bad boys Cook-style, okay.

Can we talk about "Skins" for a bit? This season has been so-so for me. Franky and Rich are two of my favorite characters, maybe even in the all-time category of favorite "Skins" characters (see: Chris, Cassie, Katie). But I feel like since Mini's episode it's been all downhill. Nick's was downright boring for me. Alo was a little bit better but I still feel a general meh towards this cast. I'm hoping Grace can redeem the later half of this season. Also, Matty. Can we talk about Matty as well? UGH.

Dennis was a gold mine of quotes this season. Dennis: I am having feelings again. Like some kind of fourteen year old kid. You remember, feelings right? Mac: Yeah. I have feelings every single day of my life. Dennis: Do you? Mac: Are you saying you don't have feelings? Dennis: What I'm saying is a built up a shell.. a shell around myself. A cold, calculated shell that couldn't be broken by anything but marriage.
