One of my favorites that I was disappointed that it got left out as well.
Can we just say any song from M & A is the best hands-down?
I personally love “I Came as a Rat” and “Dark Center of the Universe.”
Agreed. Moon & Antarctica is their masterpiece. They go places no one imagined them going (with Isaac’s jaw broken too)!
LCW is awesome as well but it will always come 2nd to M & A.
I really liked Centipede Hz as well. Definitely some stand outs (Applesauce, Monkey Riches) but a solid album. Not their best but it’s just not for some people.
I think Avey’s blonde hair is the real tragedy.
DAH! Almost there.
I tried to put in my login info and I got an error screen.
I WAS SO CLOSE!!!
I think the lineup is solid. A little bit of everything.
That being said, it’s Coachella. Expect the unexpected.
Side note and something to maybe consider: Remember who played with Phoenix when they played at Madison Square Garden in 2010.
You hit it right on.
Coachella Lineup: SOLID. A little bit of everything. Only thing missing is a huge rapper. Which is not a deal breaker for me.
Governor’s Ball & Primavera both coming out with insane lineups.
Follow suit, Coachella!
Exactly how I feel.
I am crossing my fingers they make a stop at Coachella so then I can babble about seeing them live.
For the love of all that is holy, LET THIS BE TRUE!
I look forward to your profile picture and awesome music & music festival reviews.
I will give you that “The Hours” is a masterpiece of a song (the wailing of Alex Scally’s bass = orgasm).
That is all.
It’s all about “The Hours.”
Alex Scally’s bass in that song just makes it ridiculously amazing.
I see it being a similar lineup to 2010 as well.
I am also still hoping the Daft Punk come out to Coachella again. Like everyone else.
Agreed on Brian King. Saw him live and the guy is funny AND even better looking up close.
However, my ultimate crush Victoria Legrand did make it on here though.
Um Brian King of Japandroids, anyone?
… and I am going to go jump off the Golden Gate Bridge now.
Yeah I don’t know about that claim. The only things we know so far from both bands is the list of tracks and the album release dates.
Honeycomb is not going to be on Centipede Hz and Avey Tare has said they are moving away from the MPP sound and going back to a “more AnCo sound” with Panda Bear back on the drums (which is a HUGE relief). I loved MPP but it’s not AnCo (Feels is my favorite AnCo album).
Either way, Grizzly Bear and AnCo are the two bands that I am most looking forward to releasing album this year.
Where is/are RubberJohnny(s)?
The one time I am looking forward to his comment on a post and we get nothing. :(.
I like artists that take on new soundscapes on new albums as well but Beach House is never going to that as they stated in this interview:
