there’s a good chance that you are just trying to instigate some type of confrontation, in which case I maybe shouldn’t be bothering to argue this, (this is my first time ever commenting on a blog) but comparing bands like the pipettes or the go! team to animal collective is a bit weird to me because of the vast array of sounds animal collective have explored. the differences in styles between albums like “spirit they’ve gone” and the avey tare split w/ david grubbs, or panda bears “prayer”….blah blah terrestrial tones, vashti bunyan, pullhair rubeye etc…animal collective might not have been as adventurous with their past couple of albums, but their body of work is massive, and there really aren’t many other bands going right now that have been as adventurous as they have…I don’t think in 2019 people are going to have forgotten about them…
