Yes. And, really, it’s not that close.
I’m just happy we’re getting new songs from great artists like Bon Iver, DCFC, Yorke, Grizzly Bear, etc. A little weird that its through the Twilight soundtrack, but whatever..
The Mastodon song is better.
Oh, how the mighty have fallen
I love Radiohead to death but Thom Yorke seems like a pretty huge douche bag
wow, very impressive
He wasn’t dissing the Devo guy, IanisRad. If anything, he was sticking up for him. If you read the whole interview, Will says movies should have music that is specifically scored for them, not pop songs that are about different things. He was criticizing Anderson’s use of his Ipod to soundtrack his movies, not the original scores he uses. Not saying I agree with Oldham on this point (though I love his music), just giving you some context.
Great to see “We Have the Facts..” so high, that may be the album of the decade for me
Um, Trent Reznor did not “ignore” or “shit on” Radiohead’s model. Ever heard of “Ghosts” or “The Slip”?
I dig
Geez, why does everyone hate Ryan Adams? I know he used to be a douche but he knows too and he has changed a lot in the past few years. His music (except Cardinology) is amazing.
Wow the track listing looks amazing for this comp, and its for a good cause. Im definitely picking it up.
Here’s how i’d rank of all his work. Full disclosure, I am an Adams fanboy. I aboslutely love everything he’s done except Cardinology, which kind of sucks.
Pneumonia
Heartbreaker
Stranger’s Almanac (If anyone is thinking about buying the deluxe version that came out in last year, its definitely worth it – even for a casual fan)
29
Faitheless Street
Easy Tiger
Jacksonville City Nights
Love is Hell
Cold Roses
Gold
Rock n Roll (yes, this album is actually good)
Demolition
Follow the Lights EP
Cardinology
I’d start with Hearbreaker, then move to Whiskeytown, then tackle his solo stuff. Then all his unreleased stuff.

“All Life Converges to Some Center”….nice Emily Dickinson reference
