YES! I was wondering why no one else got that reference. Damn kids today and their lack of classic Simpsons knowledge.

Loving this shit so much. In the Direction of the Moon has got to be my new fave WP song. This album and cover are both outstanding.

I just heard 3 new tracks from KEXP in Seattle, and all 3 were stronger than “Ghost Pressure” and “Lover”. Can’t wait for this album!

I’m really digging these new tracks. Wolf Parade is made up of very talented musicians, who probably grow very bored of reproducing the same sound; I really like the melodies at play here, and I think they still capture some of the wild WP essence.

I don’t see how this is a sonic departure for them – if you listen to their pre-Funeral EP, “Suburbs” sounds like some songs from that album (which is fantastic). Especially Vampire/Forest Fire. I can’t get that into Month of May yet, but I don’t like the sort of dance punk that has infiltrated music these past years. Can’t wait for this album!
And stop complaining that their new stuff isn’t “as good” as their older stuff – if you want to listen to Funeral, then go listen to Funeral for Christ’s Sake! If you want to hear Apologies to the Queen Mary again, ditto. Bands grow children.
