this is really gorgeous. It seems like a have a new favorite track from this album every few days since seeing them at the crocodile.
wow, so jealous of the new yorkers who got to see this show! really hoping that KoC eventually take the DoD tour to the other coast.
I do have an excuse! There were two of us shooting for Stereogum this weekend and covering the strange collection of bands that populated it. Franz Ferdinand played one of my favorite sets of the weekend, too. I was a little jealous he got to shoot that set, but I am looking forward to seeing his pics. I’m sure they’ll be great.
nicely done. great to see seattle represented!
I think the audio was taped by Jackson Barnes.
the only thing I want to say in defense of this kind of cute movie is that the “meet cute in the elevator over the Smiths” scene is played as obvious cliche and a flimsy way into a relationship.
great show. and I think this is the most times I’ve ever appeared in the shadows of a stereogum photospread.
PB&J sounded good, but it was a weirdly bold move to not include a “hit” from Writer’s Block anywhere near the first few songs of their set.
(Oh, and Fleet Foxes sounded fine. They had a huge crowd and most everyone stuck around for the whole set.)
another set of winners! I love the pictures of the Flaming Lips, especially the one where Wayne is looking much more interested in his confetti gun than in the swarm of naked women dancing around him.

I really wonder whose address and phone number are on that scrap of paper. Or rather, I wonder how many people have called the number to find out.
