Any chance of a Louisville or Bloomington date?

“O Holy Night” – That’s pretty incredible.

Ugh…maybe YOU could.

Try chugging some whiskey, railing some coke, going out with some friends to a party/da club, and try again.

She’s trying hard to out-Gaga Lady Gaga.

+2. Anyone who’s seen that wall knows it was already completely covered in graffiti. You can barely see a few red/white/black stripes underneath it all.

It’s loud, trashy fun. It’s a record to put on when you’re getting drunk and doing trashy things. I can understand why some people think it’s going to get old fast; but I like it and will be listening to it for a while, in the right situations. I see a lot of comparisons to the 1st Crystal Castles album, and like that one, this is probably going to divide a lot of people’s opinions.

That beefcake’s got more brains rattling around in his head than you would think from looking at him. Team Fucked Up.

“SPIN’s editors rank the most influential releases since the magazine’s beginning in 1985.”

I saw them a few years earlier at a show with only 50 people and the energy was even better.

I’m glad that the opinions are starting to turn the other way on these guys. I was getting tired of trying to like them and not understanding why everyone seemed to think they were great.

I saw LCD’s set, and it was like their albums – mostly spotty, but came together in places. (Their live set was mostly sloppy too, unlike their robotic albums). Buncha hype.

Yea that’s why I said I don’t get it.
I’m sure it was fun with everyone there dancing. Just don’t understand why everyone jizzes over this guy. Sound of Silver has its moments, but he’s mostly boring to me. I’d rather listen to !!!.

I guess I don’t get it. Looks like a drunk guy stumbling around and mumbling/talking over repetitive music to me. And “Drunk Girls” is awful.

Yawn….MIA sounds jealous. And how do MIA and Lady Gaga sound anything alike?

just when you think nobody follows stereogum, there’s a radiohead or vampy weekend post and suddenly there’s 30-60 comments. post everyday bros, and upvote, downvote. let’s see some personalities. let’s make stereogum half as interesting as videogum. you know music news is way more interesting than mtv soaps and youtube videos

0Posted on Feb 5th, 2010 | re: Pavement, Modest Mouse Playing Pitchfork Music Festival (8 comments)

yea, why don’t they have Sleigh Bells headlining? i don’t get it….

0Posted on Feb 5th, 2010 | re: Pavement, Modest Mouse Playing Pitchfork Music Festival (8 comments)

well, MM is set for Friday (the day they’ve traditionally done Don’t Look Back) but they said something about it being a longer day this year, so who knows.

i highly doubt that every time someone dies at night they call it a homicide and open a tipline.

0Posted on Feb 3rd, 2010 | re: Girls - "Honey Bunny" (New Song, Live In New Orleans) (8 comments)

they played 3 new ones in Portland in November. First one was “Nobody’s Business” which I think was a b-side to one of the singles (or will be). The chorus of one of the others was “It’s getting cold again” and the last was about being in love with a boy who’s in love with a girl. Any ideas what these two are? Maybe just covers…
