They didn’t play The Great Destroyer at Lolla, but even if they did I bet I wouldn’t have caught that. Funny, though.
this is funny because i actually know her manager.
the NIN show was amazing. I could’ve done without the Ghost stuff, but once the insane light effects started my mind was properly blown. Trent is the hottest 43 year old former heroin addict ever. He looks like a fuckin’ rhino these days. A hot rhino? Anyways thanks for the pics.
I was quite far back, so it’s nice to see pictures of the guys. The fireworks were a ridiculously magical touch, since they seemed to time up with “Everything” and “Fake Plastic Trees” a little too well. One of the great things about Lolla is the incredible skyline backdrop you get to some amazing bands, so that coupled with fireworks was beautiful. But I sweated through my clothes and felt like I had been hit by a truck by the end of the day.
Ravinia up in Highland Park (northern Chi burb) has to stop at 11pm, but I dunno about downtown. And Kanye just wrote an all-caps blog about how the ‘roo fiasco wasn’t his fault. I still can’t decide! NIN or Ye?
While this year’s lineup isn’t as awesome IMO as last year’s, I am really looking forward to it (Radiohead, Gogol, National, Uffie). I still don’t know what I will do for the NIN/Kanye dilemma…but I think I am the only person in Chicago who doesn’t like Wilco. Makes Saturday night easy.

Took the words right out of my mouth.
