This was such a great, interesting read. I like being able to see a totally different perspective on an album that was on the top of my list last year.

For me, the moments that are so great on The Suburbs – and Brandon has pointed a few of those out – are just that…so big, epic and great that those singular moments put the album miles ahead of contemporaries. I think it’s wrong to say that the album is without it’s slow moments, and Brandon points these out very pragmatically. But personally, it’s those moments of brillance that make me forget about the parts that don’t work.

Again though, this article was awesome because it was enlightening to hear someone else is take in a well framed, thought way. kudos to Brandon…

BTW – I found the National’s album pretty…well, just like the last one they put out, I personally find them boring. I will however give Titus Andronicus a listen to.
