My friends and I have watched ‘Jingle all the Way’ multiple times every Christmas for four Christmases (as of this Christmas) and it has honestly become the most important tradition of the holidays for us. We’re saving up to buy a real life Turbo-Man doll of off eBay, wrap it up each year and circulate it amongst ourselves every Christmas. So, I’d get it one year, wrap it for the next, give it to someone else and repeat. They go for $200+ so we haven’t gotten too far with this plan yet. We ‘jingle’ every Christmas Eve Eve (December 23) as this is the date of the fatefull karatee scene that opens the film. We literaly talk about who we are going to invite or not invite all year. It is huge for us.

All that to say that I’ve never been more excited to read a WMOAT. Merry christmas, it’s turbo time!

I’m pretty sure these two were behind the camera (both cameras).

February 10, 2010 on Hey, What’s Up With Topher Grace?

I went into work today and a few of my managers were talking about the upcoming hit film ‘Valentine’s Day’, so I interjected with “Oh that has Topher Grace in it!” and they went “Yeah, and also…” and then they listed a bunch of boring actors. I replied that it didn’t matter who else was in it, because Topher Grace was. Then two seconds ago, one of them walked by and saw me reading this page on break. She walked away uncomfrotably. MLITG

I am an even bigger Dad than this guy, in that I hadn’t even heard of “Pants on the Ground” until I just Googled and then subsequently You Tubed it. I guess I just got caught with MY pants on the ground (am I doing it right?).

Q: (from the article): “If you had to pick a person that was deserving of his or her own app (aside from Kevin Smith), who would it be and why?”
A: I think we all know the A for this one.

As much fun and as much floating mountains as Avatar was (which it was lots of), I think its totally fair that people are taking it to task for being kinda racist and completely-kinda unoriginal and derivative. The ‘it’s just a movie, enjoy it for what it is, don’t look too much into it, what more did EXPECT!?’ argument is silly. Every movie would be a great movie if that is how we all looked at every movie. You know who used that argument all the time? Fans of Transformers 2. The moment we stop being critical of movies (even movies we like!) is the moment we become one of THEM.

I was just about to say that, from the You Tube still before you press play, it looks like Gay Elf Sex with but with box people.

He is! And I don’t think Mr. Echo is Nambian either. I was just being a racist!

December 2, 2009 on The Babies Trailer Is Funnier If You Pretend It’s A Prequel

This is clearly a tie-in prequel with the final season of Lost. The font is basically the SAME font. Jin is the Tokyo baby, Mr. Echo is the Nambian baby, Jack is the American baby. And the Mongolian baby is Jacob. The greatest flashback ever.

Speaking of feel good rape-rape books and their feel good rape-rape movie adaptations; what’s the deal with Precious? I work at a book store and people have been all about that book/movie for weeks. Like genuinely excited, jumping up and down, “This looks great! I can’t wait to read this! Better get it in before the movie!” about it. And its about an obese 16 year old who is rape-raped (repeatedly) by her father (incest-incest) and becomes pregnant twice from it. Talk about manipulative and schlocky and why-the-hell-are-people-inspired-by-this.

Don’t worry, I am also from Ottawa (with an A in the middle, GABE), so there are at least two Ottawa Monsters in existence. We can form an O-Town Monster Gang and huddle together in fear.

Yeah. Its your boy Marcus, and this message is dedicated to Bangs, who likes to go to the movies. You know? Let me take you to the movies, Bangs. I’m sure later on you will be my baby. Let me take you to the movies. Lets sit down and just be by my side, I got the popcorn and I know what else you like. Hey Bangs, you are really looking nice. Let me take you to the movie, because I know you like. You got nothing to worry about, hold the popcorn and the drink, let me pay the money so we can get in. Now hold my hand, and take a step to the door. Lets sit on those two chairs, alone, watching a movie, so we can see what’s going on. If you don’t like to watch you can lean on my chest, take a rest, do your best, baby Bangs. HA. Let me take you to the movie, Bangs. I hope you enjoyed the movie, because I did too. If you wanna go again, just holla at me. Baby Bangs, we can make it to be better than before. Anything you want me to do, I can do it for sure. You can be my Cinderella. When it rain, you can stand under my umbrella. I know it make us feel better. I’m not like the other boys. I’m different guy, coming from the sky. Whatever I say, I never lie. Just let me know if you wanna go somewhere, YEAH. Let me take you to the movie Bangs. Hey Bangs, where you at, where you going, can I see you later, because I can see you busy right now. Meet me at the shop about 4 o’clock. Don’t forget, and don’t be late. I can’t tell you what to do when you come back. I still remember when you told me, “take me to the movie”. Friday night, that’s right. What time is it now? It’s half past three. My man Bangs said he be back about half an hour. Let me go and take a shower. Dress good. Put some perfume so I can smell good. Let me take you the movie. Yeah Bangs. You can go to the movie any time you like, you know what I mean? But guess who you gonna call? Your baby boy Marcus. Because you still get a chance. You know what I mean? AHA. Yeah. Yeah. That’s right. Woah. Um. Lets sit down and just be by my side, I got the popcorn I know what else you like. You like. You like. You like.
