Pretty good list- I actually agree with #1. But Ceremony should definitely be here. I'd cut Crystal to make room for it and cut Elegia in favor of Your Silent Face.

I'm very surprised that Mature Themes didn't make it. However Fiona Apple is also my #1, so I agree!

Dean Wareham of Galaxie 500 / Luna is my personal favorite. His solos are always otherworldly.

I agree! There have been some great bootlegs floating around, but a professional soundboard would be amazing.

I was pretty much with you until you said to not watch reruns of Pete and Pete. Then I stopped reading.

Yeah, Power Rangers is the worst. Even at age 5 I could tell it was stupid. Still, I watched it because of peer pressure. Don't do it kids!

You need to search for Stick Stickly Nickelodeon. You can even find the full length special where Stick went on a quest to find his long lost brother! *Spoiler: He found him on top of the Twin Towers.

I feel the opposite- I actually enjoy Clarissa now more than I did when I was a kid. Sabrina on the other hand is kind of a nightmare, apart from that one episode with the Violent Femmes.

It's too bad Morrissey can't stand the TV. He's missing out on Breaking Bad. Or maybe he's just still upset with what they did with Sal on Mad Men. I mean, who isn't?

I really don't like her fronting a band. Can't she go back to playing a guitar and piano?

My favorite Joy Division cover by a long shot is Galaxie 500 doing Ceremony. Incredible. However for Love Will Tear Us Apart, Swans have two great versions.

I get Joanna Newsom. I love Joanna Newsom. I think she's the best female songwriter working today. Still, it took me numerous listens to get into Have One on Me. Yet when the album clicked, it clicked in a massive way. I understand that she's not for everyone, but the album really requires time and an attentive listen. You can't just listen once through your laptop speakers while multi-tasking on the internet. Eventually melodies stick, lines resonate, and the music becomes incredibly moving. Still, even if time proves her as something still to be understood, its near impossible not to appreciate her lyrics and musical talent. There's simply no one else out there right now writing at her level.

I wonder if this is the first case ever where a song had to be lengthened rather than shortened for a Late Night performance. In any case, this is amazing and I love the new solo section.
