I'm sure you're right, ATP is equally to blame - like P4K - for not realizing that boring blog bands are not viable in the real world. Primavera on the other hand books amazing fun festivals with bands that people actually like.

Looks like when you have a Pitchfork attitude to booking festivals - no bands that are too fun or easy to enjoy (w/ the exception of Thee Oh Sees) - people aren't that into it. Big surprise. There were several other good bands but no great ones and many boring ones.

Sick band. A few days ago the NYT called LA a "low-fidelity teen-rock lotusland". There are probably more good teen rock bands now than there have been in a long time. Cycles.

Honestly I wouldn't mind if they changed the song keys way lower so Plant can sing them now. It's sacrilege, but Zep songs might have sounded even better if they had been sung in a more male range.
