Oh just let her go! Girls are gonna get sexy again with Lana Del Ray around.
Am I going mad or is that not a long-haired El Perro Del Mar on the left there?
Beyonce’s head looks CGI’d. It’s to big or over-lit or something and she looks creepy.
And let’s not be scared to take responsibility and remember that humanity made this mistake before – of giving so-called ‘critical’ acclaim and worldly support to villains. I seem to remember science and academic circles frothing over and congratulating the genetic programs of The Third Reich; and Hitler didn’t get the resonance and scope this little freak is shamelessly enjoying.
How did that end?
Oh yes! The world’s first detonation of a nuclear weapon. How lovely.
Take some responsibility people. Step on this fool.
If we understand anything about entry-level psychology, hatred is rooted in fear and misunderstanding, and however we may worry about the attention OFWGKTA are getting for their brand of hatred, you can rest assured that they are infinitely more frightened of the world than the world is of them. You can’t reason with people as desperate and frightened as these kids. Anyone wanting to get at them need only throw them a similarly-brash, racist, uncompromising, hateful dose of global reality.
Guess what Tyler?
White boys still rule the world.
The world’s attention is increasingly ignoring America in general, much less its petty sub-minorities, who kick and scream like a toddler when they don’t get they french fries.
Toddler, the Creator!!!!!!!!!!
I don’t believe this! My knees are sore from banging them together.
I’m getting a special pleasure out of seeing these urgent dismissals of /\/\/\Y/\. MIA is smarter than people give her credit for. She counted on the predictably narrow denunciations of her album – which only legitimises everything on it. /\/\/\Y/\ is easily comprehensive for anyone with the wit to remain objective. The songs are well composed – progressing from technocratic paranoia and automatism in its beginning, to melodic and more human melodies in the end. And, best of all, they all challenge and expose the typical cynicism America has for Middle Eastern cultural success in Western markets. Americans are the suckers here. MIA set the bait, and everyone took it.

I can’t BELIEVE the way the internet works these days. One ok but carefully calculated song, multi-nationals mining blogs for who has the most hits, producers swoop, money exchanged, an over-ambitious but plebian retard fills an album out with utterly inconsequential garbage, eschews integrity (didn’t have any anyway, evidenced by the face) for the acquisition of fame/money/modelling contracts. Lana wins, Universal wins, blogs operating on the pretence of being critical LOSE, and this stuff simply exists. Pitchfork and Stereogum are just digital versions of TV Hits / Smash HIts magazines, trading in superficial images and recirculating the same old signs. My GOODNESS, go away, all of you!
