weezy hold ya head.
after reading this and pitchfork’s review (yes, i read pitchfork too) of wayne’s dedication 2, i am staring to feel like some babe just broke my heart.
that was some awesome finger snapping.
Hey Kubler… you suck!
does no one else think that thom yorke looks a lot like clay aiken in this video?
When that guy depantses Skee-Lo at the end is awesome.
My hat goes off to you… well done Mr. Carter.
Tha Carter III is damn good and if you keep in mind the 5 tracks from The Leak earlier this year I think it makes a pretty amazing overall body of work. Wayne is easily top-5.
“like I’m from College Park, but I’m from Holly Grove/now all my blood screams sup-woop & da-da-doe”
great song and video. not sure how i feel about a sigur ros song sung in english. kinda nervous. never seen lyrics translated into english, but what if they’re are actually horribly lame? my god that would be terrible. i like not knowing what they’re saying.
douglas, i agree. broad generalizations can easily hurt feelings and make the generalizer look stupid, just ask noel gallagher.
Nate Dogg can’t sing? Pac NW kids don’t know shit about rap anyways, but this makes me dislike Death Cab. Does Gibbard and his girlfriend think they’re funny? Because they’re not. At all.
I really want to like the Raconteurs (and for the most part I do), but their albums sound too clean or something. Here, they sound gritty and raw, how I imagine them to, and actually like “raconteurs”. Cool video and good song.
Not racist in anyway, but oblivious to rap music’s place in the world and its expanding cross-over appeal to fans of guitar-based rock music.
Unsurprisingly, Jay-Z’s response was civil, forgiving, and thoughtful (although with plenty of “fuck you, you insignificant ignoramus” undertones). Well played Hov.

that last track on hazards of love is pretty good. glad to see popular songs finally included on a list.
