… or “God & Suicide”. Either would do.
#19 makes me want to punch myself in the face
Same goes for VW, Ra Ra Riot, Beck, Kings of Leon and Low vs Diamond. Very happy to see Low vs Diamond on here though! Same goes for RRR.
I feel as though many songs from the early beginnings of this year get weighed differently because they’ve been forgotten about in the last 11 months or people have tired of them. Go figure Beyonce just comes out with an album and immediately her song, without having any lasting value, lands at #1. I couldn’t disagree more.
… and that’s in reply to Mr. Jolson’s “indie-pretentious list” comment above.
I would have liked to see The Helio Sequence on here.
But I bet if the Ting Tings were on there, lots of your college friends would say its wonderful and is great music.
Its terrible to hear you say so many bad cliches tucked under one indie blanket. Indie music is about discovering bands for how much the listener likes the band. Indie music doesn’t give a shit about who else likes it. If lots of people do, so be it. That’s why I agree with some of these albums (Fleet F-ing Foxes & Ra Ra Riot) and disagree with many others.
Don’t go rubbing your opinion all over this group like icy/hot on a cold winter night. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, even if it sucks – like yours.
Awwwww… too bad.
…and electronic album of the year goes to….. HOMEWORK! wtf
Agreed… My thoughts are that is was for their innovative video for this song, which shouldn’t really be the driving factor here.
VERY surprised Cut Copy wasn’t even mentioned, especially for ‘BEST ELECTRONIC/DANCE ALBUM’. What a crock. But then again, this is the Grammys, and they couldn’t find someone better than Kid Rock for ‘BEST ROCK ALBUM’. meh
nope
If you go back and listen to “Yellow” off of their Parachutes album, you’ll notice its the worst song on it. I can’t bash your opinion though. Just saw them this past weekend and it was the first time “Yellow” stunned me.
Ummmm… this is for Hip-Hop, not Rap. Unfortunately, there’s less and less Hip-Hop these days.
I’d rather hear about Diplo than Kanye. Diplo has talent.
I’m willing to bet The Cribs are a bit uglier
All I can think of when I see the picture of Michael Cera is a movie I’ll never see with a soundtrack I’ll never listen to.

If their whole album is like this, consider Animal Collective kicked to the side…
