what about one of the most underrated indie bands EVER? menomena? the promise of a new release from them completely eclipses any excitement i could feel for any other albums in 2010.

oh god. PLEASE do not let this be the new music craze. i really liked the whole ‘lo-fi poppy garage-y noise punk’, or whatever the fuck you wanna call it surge we had not too long ago, but this? i don’t think i can handle this kind of crap being the new trend. sorry, it just doesn’t do it for me.

this album’s okay. but i wouldn’t say it’s on the level of grizzly bear or animal collective, considering their releases this year. and STOP WITH THIS ALBUM OF THE YEAR SHIT. there’s a time and place for it. at the end of the year.
Is there any band that has stood the test of time better than these guys have? I’m seeing them at Siren Music Festival during the summer and it’s free. If anyone lives near Coney Island and likes them, go! Just letting people know.
If Coldplay won that case against Joe Satriani, which was one of the most blatant cases of plagiarism I’ve ever seen, then there is NO way that Evan stands a chance. It’s not gonna happen, and it shouldn’t! The songs aren’t similar enough.

Oh thank GOD, I though I was the only one who didn’t like these tracks. This entire album is shaping up to be really disappointing, although it’s not as bad as MSTRKRFT’s new one. Urgh. Oh well, there’s always Grizzly Bear later this year!
