“Premature Evaluation” is an accurate title for this series ? this would have been my initial reaction too. This is one of those albums that sounded really mediocre to me at first, but after repeat listenings is actually sounding pretty damn good. It’s no Microcastle, but it’s not a disappointment either.
Oh, I forgot musicians all had to pronounce words with pristine diction for their music to be likable. I guess you’re right and I can’t like Andrew Bird anymore.
I don’t really understand what this list is supposed to be… isn’t every band on this list on the best albums list? That kind of disqualifies this from being anything meaningful.
Also, where is Parc Avenue?
ELEPHANT SHELL?!?!
Doubt? Brideshead Revisited? Vicky Christina Barcelona? Frost/Nixon? The Fall? I’m disappointed. I guess I can’t complain because I didn’t vote.
Now if they’d only tour with TV on the Radio and Cut Copy again…
