With Shane dies the worst kept secret in cinematic history: Shane killed Otis.
I'm kinda torn about Carl -- don't get me wrong, I hate him so much and on one-hand I want him to be eaten by someone. Doesn't have to be a zombie, could be anyone, even that woman that I had no idea existed until she blurted out something during the debate. But on the other hand, can you imagine how horrible the show would turn out? It would just be a nonstop torrent of "you couldn't protect Carl" nonsense.
Drink every time Obama says "let it not be said..."
I've only watched Bridesmaids on that list. I think that and Attack the Block are the only new-ish movies I watched this year. I think I have adult onset "can't concentrate on a movie for more than 45 minutes" syndrome.

Did anyone watch last week's Dexter? Doomsday killer's new follower was Lil Kev the possibly retarded rapper from It's Always Sunny. Very distracting.
I'm a little late to the party, I DVR'd it and didn't have the energy to watch an entire episode until this morning. This was by far the funniest episode of the season.
I will never understand him sticking with "Chet" but dropping his famous last name.
Nothing terrifying about this cat at all.
I'm with you...the zombies, I'm sorry, the walkers at least have plausible motives for what they do. They're basically hungry. Shane's out taking emotional wrecked people into living-dead ambushes to teach them a lesson.
This show is so annoying but I keep watching. I hope a walker eats Dale's face off. He's all about telling random stories that somehow tie into the topic at hand: "I like walking fields...I know you have a barn full of zombies." Glenn is also a candidate at getting his face eaten off for my pleasure. What's with the comedy? "You have a medical condition" he tells Lori about her pregnancy. Tune in next week when he misconstrues what Chrissy and Janet are saying about Jack. What Im saying is that Glenn is basically Mr. Furley. I want that to be clear. The most annoying part of the episode was when Carl wanted to learn how to shoot and Lori says he's not mature enough and Carl interjects while wearing a comically large sheriff cowboy hat. Then Grimes says that Shane is the best instructor he knows as if that matters at this point. "I'd love Carl to learn how to kill the mindless hordes that want to eat us but there's not a certified trainer with sufficient commendations in camp."
I love the persecution complex of these wackos. After spending 10 minutes of calling Muslims violent-prone pedophiles that are hell bent on secretly taking over the country, they say they can't criticize gay people because they'll be labeled bigots.
There were too many long drawn out speeches. I think that's the deal for this season. Everyone gets a couple turns trying to get nominated for an emmy in the most annoying way possible.
In fairness, Richard Dawkins is also an asshole.
This episode felt like a throwback to Season 1 with a lot of comedy. I liked it, I think it worked. I didn't mind Gus with his two faces because for one he was always one step ahead of the game so it was one last thing you thought he might have escaped. And two Gus always had two sides of him and thats how he died. Yeah it was hammy but who cares, so is poisoning yourself and an entire cartel.
I know we're going around in circles but again, calling him a bigot is overly simplistic. If he was simply an anti-gay bigot he'd not change his position on DADT. He coulda easily used the cop out the other republicans used: I talked to the generals. I understand what you're saying and I most certainly don't think state's have the right to regulate sexual behavior between consenting adults. But I don't like demonizing everyone we don't agree with especially when we don't apply that level of scrutiny to everyone.
You're grossly distorting the flag-burning amendment. He introduced the bill as a trump card to congressman that wanted to criminalize flag burning. It was his way of saying "if you're against flag burning put it into the Constitution." He did a similar thing with his opposition to the Iraq war. He changed his position on DADT and voted to repeal it. Just like he changed his position on the death penalty. The states rights issue isn't something I agree with him on. I'm not trying to support him but I'm just pointing out that his stances are a little more nuanced thatn "libertarians are all bigots."
He's anti-abortion but he's not for criminalizing flag burning or banning gays in the military.
Spoke too soon, I missed NWA's video on the list.
Like a lot of pop music sites, they think Hip Hop started around 1999 when they discovered it in 2007.
I read all that but couldn't get past the part where Gabe called a commercial "cheeky." He's taking his BBC obsession too far.
What exactly is Joe Rogan's skill set? I know he's a comedian (or something) but it's not like he was funny on Fear Factor. He just kinda stood there and briefly explained what was going on. They coulda (shoulda?) got Bristol Palin to do it. Also, has anyone seen JR recently? I don't like insulting a person's looks especially since I'm so handsome (just kidding, I'm hideous!) but he looks like he's addicted to cocaine and steroids and violence.
I see what you're both saying but I think people are dismissive of her feelings because she's basically the boy who cried wolf. Every little criticism becomes a gender attack or now even a death threat to her kids. Take the "retard" incident. Obama says it and he's despicable. Rush says it and he's friggin Richard Pryor. Couple this with her hateful rhetoric and incoherent policies and it's hard to treat her seriously. P.s. Bill Maher is a bigoted nightmare too.
My theory on the reason why most of us didn't like the ending is because the show wore most of us down through 12 episodes and we expected a little closure in the finale. There was a ridiculous amount of red herrings to wade through to finally get to the bottom of who killed Rosie. It was a season of cheap ploys without a payoff. They basically pointed out a suspect and stacked the deck against him so you think he's the killer. Then they slithered out of it in the weirdest/worst way possible. For instance, her teacher (semi-creepily) married a young ex-student, they tap his phone where he talks about a missing girl, Rosie is seen at his house the night she died...it turns out the missing girl he talks about is a refugee he's trying to save from female castration and Rosie was at his house to return a book. As a viewer you know it's a red herring because it's early in the season and they've already hit you with it before so you kinda wait it out.
Not Safe for Work or Life or Agnew, Spiro. Has to be.
I almost want to watch the original Danish to see if I can purge this from my mind...and if it was as bad as this.
Also falsely accusing people so they get beaten into a coma. It's how she eliminates suspects.
This finale was disappointing in layers. It was the Inception of disappointment. Most of the show played out like an episode of SVU. It felt like a boring way to end a frustrating season. At a certain point I looked up at the clock and noticed there was only a couple minutes left.. They wouldn't just blow up the show's conclusion in less than 2 minutes. WRONG! Goddamn you "The Killing," goddamn you.
A Bill Cosby impersonator would be ideal as well.
Actually that would be brilliant.
Anyone remember that cartoon Tranzor Z? I remember watching it in the 80's. I also remember the robots shooting missiles out their breasts. Anyone?
"She like trees, pugs, graffiti and scrabble...any ideas?"
Safe to say he's really 5'7...?
I was slacking in my Videogumming this week so I'm just go through all the posts I missed. At the same time I decided to give Thurston Moore's new album a spin. Long story short, playing the video with the song "Beenediction" makes it very touching and happy.
