Paula Abdul did a better job of ripp– er, “referencing” Rebel Without a Cause in her classic “Rush, Rush” video.

They really need to get back to doing gay disco. I mean, I probably wouldn’t have noticed how shittastic these lyrics are had it not been for the fact that Brandon sounds like Steve Urkel trying to do Night Ranger karaoke.

But I hate to be completely negative. The video itself was pretty and compelling. I appreciate the sexual tension between the Jet and the Shark — I mean, the Greaser and the Soc — I mean, the twin idealized representations of Brandon Flowers’ repressed homosexual psyche. And also, Brandon is a pretty little man. He wears too many clothes, but whatever.

Right??? Fucking tease is wearing too many clothes all the time. Like, I didn’t mind it when he was fat and had a pornstache, but now that he’s stopped eating carbs he needs to step it up.

So basically people are mad that KoL can afford stylists now? Wow.

phil and pigass, I’d just like to point out that calling someone a “fag” typically doesn’t make you any more of a man, but instead just puts a big ol’ pink — I mean, red flag by the fact that you’re either … overcompensating for something, or have something to hide. Just sayin’.

Oh, this is fun. I envision adding this to my “Saturday Night Getting Ready For the Gay Bars” playlist very, very soon.

I’d like this better if it weren’t for the following reasons:

A) He’s ripping off every Trent Reznor video ever.
B) It sounds like a Depeche Mode cover he did using a Casio keyboard he bought at a garage sale.
C) He had a better body. Sorry, I can’t do skinny-but-flabby. It creeps me out.

I like that he covers Madonna, sings a theme song for a popular children’s film, and reveals his preferred position for homosexual activities all in the same album.
