I've been trying to get Wanted considered for WMOAT for about a year. I thought the rule was it couldn't be a super popular comic book (like a Marvel character) but that comic based movies could still be nominated. Am I wrong? Wertrew?
I was unaware of the Twitter petition. Mainly because I really don't understand Twitter. Don't worry- at most I would want to be secretary of the fan club. I don't think I could handle the day in/day out struggles of a Presidency... BV is listed as "coming soon" on the Canal Place website but there is no date. Maybe it'll open tomorrow or next weekend at the latest? I may come to NOLA on Sunday. I am trying desperately to stay away from my television so I was thinking that a day out might be in order. If Canal Place has it, I will definitely get in touch.
Chesty LaRue, that may be the best thing that has ever happened to me. My live is fairly uneventful but thank you all the same! Nightmare, I would say I'm sorry but I'm really, really not. It's a fantasy we will just have to learn to share. Please don't cut me. My blood doesn't clot very easily on the count of all the alcohol and ibuprofen I consume... On a serious note, is it you that lives in New Orleans? Do you know if Blue Valentine is showing anywhere in LA? I live in Baton Rouge, but I am willing to travel.
I have an inexplicable love for Ben Foster. It is very real to me. I would like to ask him something real quick almost all of the time. See Also: Ryan Gosling. Something about those blonde Canadians...
Wanted. Angelina and James McAvoy take orders from a "loom of fate." I hate it so much!!
"Meet Me in St. Louis." Not necessarily a Christmas movie but I watch it every Christmas Eve.
No worries! I've done it a million times.
Great pate', roommate, but I gotta motor if I'm going to be ready for the dog park.
Bones? Where we're going, we don't need bones.
Costco, I am also a metaphorical resident of Neptune, California. One of my prized possessions is a My Pretty Pony t shirt...
It's still 100 percent worth watching. The season stands alone well. Just sad that there won't be more.
Just not sure about Boardwalk Empire trumping Treme. Probably the Louisiana girl in me. Otherwise, an excellent list. Though I would hope Misfits would be included if it aired in the states. (Also, RIP Terriers and Party Down)
This trailer made me realize just how much I miss NWA. (And Topher. Always Topher.)
I vote Toby for the WW-character/Sarah Palin confrontation. Richard Schiff can deliver a verbal smack-down like nobody's business.
Agreed. Terriers was fantastic. I'm so sad I don't get to spend any more time listening to Donal Logue/Michael Raymond-James banter. it was the highlight of my week.
So, what you're saying is, the people who made the movie took what seems to be at least a semi-decent story and inserted a bunch of nonsense plot devices that make absolutely no sense. Awesome. One Fandango for the Rubik's Cube movie please...
"Wanted" is based on a comic book? That movie is not the first time someone told that ridiculous story?God, that's depressing. I would also like to apologize for my abuse of the comma in the previous comment. I guess that's what happens when I let tequila do the typing....
"Wanted." For the love of Christ, there is a "loom of fate." And, Gabe's favorite prime-time comedian Chris Pratt, is in it. I feel these two facts should warrant at least a little interest.
Only if President Bartlet is running the chat, ptsmith.
I wish this would happen in my apartment every time I have a bad day...
"I still can't believe that bitch, Kelly, wore the same red tank-top...Dragon-prom is ruined."
As a Southern girl, and therefore unintentional knower of all things George Strait, this is endlessly funny to me.
Sounds like a typical Tuesday night in New Orleans...I was pretty bummed out that I couldn't go. I think I'm going to try to make it to Built to Spill next Wednesday, though.
Ahhh...I was supposed to be there! My friend had an extra ticket but I had to work. How was it?
Can we just have Joss Whedon as the person in charge of all the things?
No kidding, this is exactly what my dad looked like in the late 70s. My dad is Rob Reiner. (Nope. He's just Ralph.)
I think you and I may be sharing a brain.
Children of the Cornucopia.
A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the pumpkin patch.
What About Bobbing for Apples. (Sorry Gabe).
The Sweater Weather-man
I have been waiting ALL DAY to read Soft Gabe's reaction to Rachel asking Finn how he liked the banana bread she made him. I guess I can forgive the oversight. An all Brittany episode is pretty distracting...
