Funerals was awesome at parts and not so awesome at other parts. There are just a couple of songs that don’t seem to fit. Great tunes, but not in the concept of the album… just my opinion though.

i tend to agree, on the music aspect… i don’t know them, and probably won’t take Wayne’s opinion… but i’ve always thought their music was awesome. but they have yet to put together an ALBUM that is mind blowing.
seriously… Danger Mouse is good at his own stuff, but often over kills a lot of stuff. Maybe it is a covert operation, he goes out and produces crappy albums so that Gnarls Barkley will sell out! HA!
I didn’t say they were bad… I simple stated that they were old. You brought up the point that there were no younger bands better then them… I have no statement in regards to that, and even if i had… you don’t give me enough time to post it.
i saw Depeche Mode in concert back in 96… they were old then.
