I agree with this, and started watching the show for the same reason. I think that True Blood is charming. You just have to realize what tone they are going for, meaning: sexy, funny, campy, melodramatic. It knows it’s campy, and it is having fun with it. The second season was also way better than the first. The last few episodes went totally crazy and hilarious. I was cracking up about “Bullshit! God has horns!” for days.

I have to say, I’m a little stumped by Girls, Phoenix, and The xx being so high on the list. Dragonslayer probably deserved to be somewhere in the top five. It’s excellent. Hmm… Sometimes I Wish We Were An Eagle was really great too. I’m also a little surprised that Swan Lake isn’t on here. All well, you can’t expect any end of the year list to be tailored to your taste.

Aziz Ansari has great taste in television. Also, Ted Leo’s mention of Battlestar Galactica made me smile. Good man.

Oh and I want to give Owen Pallett a hug for mentioning the Luyas. I fucking love them.
