the name sucks, but i’ve listened to a shitty qual version of it and its pretty sick, really out there trippy and brutal at times. a good listen. not very mars voltay. this shows promise for their new record which will hopefully be better than the last. I want another Frances.
and yea, lets take Cedric off the vocals bc that guy can sing at all. right.
Its really awesome Dirty Projectors are getting this much attention. Im still in the thick of this record but so far its everything i could’ve hoped for.
quite a mix of styles there a bunch of shit mixed in with some of the best bands playing today… strange.
naw they would still be terrible, the music is worst than the shitty lyrics or vocals. They are just bad all around.

American Idiot was a really really lame satire with really boring music, and annoying vocals as always. It was pop punk pretending they weren’t just trying to sell records. It wasn’t brilliant its been done a hundred times. The lyrics are like a high school journal, the music is simple and uninteresting, its just fucking lame.
we don’t have to wait and see how it sounds, b/c this band has proved time and time again they can’t make good music but they sure know how to sell records.

Franz has always been pretty lame, and no guys they aren’t good, at all. They make the same song over and over, and it sucked the first time.
the fact that he said one of the worst singles on the radio is the best song of the past few months is pretty fucked up.
